I applied for The Crown Award for unpublished fiction.

Several writers helped me put the application together. Their suggestions improved Chapters One and Two big time.

They helped me thrash a synopsis into place. Yikes! Don’t try writing a synopsis without a friend at your elbow who pours you a cold drink every time you scream.

The Crown Awards go-to person, Kelly Criste Goshorn, took the time to describe synopses for me. I’m thankful and in awe.

Award or no award, the application process has helped my writing. Meanwhile, I quote Robert Browning.

Ah, but a man’s reach should exceed his grasp,

Or what’s a heaven for?
