It’s quite hard to be sure of the local avian population, especially without giving a season, and of course due to the environmental changes since those times. Taking into consideration that the region was believed to have been wetter in the Bronze and Iron Ages, I suppose that a few vocal songbirds could be apropos for your story setting (each name is linked):
